Oviedo

Oviedo is placed in the Northern coast of the Iberian Peninsula.

Oviedo was founded in 761 and it is the capital of the autonomous region the Principality of Asturias.

Its cultural and historic richness turns Oviedo into one of the most singular cities of Spain. The large amount of Pre-Romanic architectural exhibitions spread all over its geography, together with a culture and history full of milestones, transform Oviedo and the Principality of Asturias into two places for universality.

The Conference and Exhibition Centre Ciudad de Oviedo is an icon of modernity in the city. Oviedo has always been a city of administrative and university services. Nowadays, with the opening of the new Conference Centre it has also turned into a referent for the 'mice' sector in the North of Spain.

The capital of the Principality is today a city with an important international scope through the Prince of Asturias Awards, annually given at the Campoamor Theatre which welcomes prestigious figures from all over the world.
